A review of the government-operated relief organization in Song Dynasty

In order to help the poor people who could hardly survive , the feudal governments in Northern Song Dynasty and Southern Song Dynasty attached importan ce to the social relief and successively established many official organizations such as Futianyuan, Juyangyuan, Anjifang,Yangjiyuan and Louzeyuan. These gover nment-operated organization greatly relaxed the social contradiction and stabili zed the social order and made profound influence to the future generations.
