Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of combination lamivudine with glucurolactone in treatment of hepatic fibrosis due to chronic hepatitis type B.Methods:124 cases with chronic hepatitis type B cobined with hepatic fibrosis were divided into experimental group(group A,n=64)and control group(group B,n=60).There was no difference between two groups at baseline data(P0.05).Patients in group B received lamivudine 100mg once daily for one year.patients in group A received glucurolactone besides lamivudine 100 mg once daily.virological responses and biochemical responses were observed. Results:Similar good virological responses were seen in both groups.Good biochemical response were observed in both groups after one year treament, and the improvement in group A was much better than in group B,the difference was singnificance(P0.05).Conclusions:Combination therapy with laminvudine is more efficacy on HBV-related hepatic fibrosis, particularly in biochemical improvement.
