Abstract
Objective To study the effect obstructive jaundice on intestinal epithelial structure and endotoxin translation in rats. Methods 30 male Wistar rats were assigned randomly to three groups: group control、sham and OJ.In group OJ,the common bile duct was ligated to establish the animal model.7 days later the samples of all rats were collected, the following items were detected: the level of portal vein blood endotoxin,D-lactate,pathologic morphology change of intestinal mucosa. Results The damage of the intestinal mucosa in group OJ rats was more seriously than group control and sham, and the level of portal vein blood endotoxin,D-lacate was significantly higher(all P0.05).Conclusion OJ could promote the damage of intestinal epithelium in rats, increase the intestinal mucosal permeability and the translocation of gut-derived endotoxin.
