Abstract

species of birds were recorded in Jinggangshan Nature Reserve during 1994~2001 summer. They belongs to 15 orders, 37 families. Of them, 25 species were summer migrant, 82 were resident birds; 16 species were winter migrant, 2 were traveling birds. Type of geographical distribution, ecotype of birds and its number were studied. 67 species were oriental realm birds, 28 were palaearctic realm birds, 30 were cosmopolitan species. Many species were the national protected birds, 2 species were the first-rank category, 14 species were second-rank category and 83 species were useful or important to economy and scientific research category.
