Abstract

Glucagon-like peptide-2(GLP-2),is post-translational processing of the proglucagon gene expressed in the intestinal enteroendocrine L-cell.It is as a growth promoting intestinal repair material,and increase villus height and crypt depth.While GLP-2 can restore and maintain the integrity of intestinal mucosa barrier,promote the repair of small intestine function after injury.Therefore,GLP-2 will be on the application prospect in animal nutrition.The author summary GLP-2 of the latest research from the GLP-2 secretion,metabolism,functions.
