Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of imiquimod cream in preventing the recurrence of condyloma acuminatum after physiotherapy. Methods Forty-six patients of condyloma acuminatum were randomized into treat group and control group,all the patients were treated with physiotherapy firstly;the treat group was treated with imiquimod cream 3 times a week,the control group was treated with recombinant human interferon(α-2b) gel 4 times a day,and course of both groups for 12 weeks. Results The recurrence rates of treat group and control group were 13.6%,42.9% respectively. Conclusion The imiquimod cream is better than the interferon gel in the prevention of condyloma acuminatum relapse after physiotherapy.
