Abstract
With sodium bisulfate as the catalyst, and acetic acid and alcohol as raw materials, ethyl acetate was synthesized. The effects of the reac- tion time, amount of catalyst, molar ratio of acid to alcohol and water carrying agent on esterification rate were discussed and the optimal reaction condi- tions were obtained as follows:based on 0.2 reel alcohol, the molar ratio of acetic acid to alcohol was 1.5:1,the amount of catalyst was 1.5 g,reaction time was 2h,and cyclohexane was 10 mL.Under these conditions, the highest yield of the reaction could reach 85.2%.Sodium bisulfate was a highly active catalyst for this reaction,le~ amount was required. And it was less pollution and contusion, cheap, the esterification rate was high and it could be recycled,so it had a good developing foreground.
