Abstract
Using sodium bisulfate as the catalyst,ethyl acetate was synthesized from acetic acid and alcohol .The optimum conditions were as follows: basing on 0.33 mol acetic acid,the amount-of-substance fraction of alcohol to acetic acid was 1.5∶1,cyclohexane was 15 mL,mass of catalyst was 0.6g, reaction time was 2.5h.Under those conditions,the esterification of acetic acid is about 87.5%.
