Abstract
Objective: To compare the application value of electroneurogram(ENoGs)of facial nerve and Blink reflex in patients with Bell's paralysis.Methods: Blink reflex and ENoG were determined in 50 patients with Bell paralysis in 1~3 days(group A)and 8~14 days (group B) and the patients were followed up for one to six months.Results:Blink reflex showed significant abnormality in 1~3 days,but significant difference was not found between that in 1~3 days and that in 8~14 days.Significant abnormality in ENoGs of facial nerve was found in 8~14 days.Conclusions:Blink reflex might be more important than ENoGs of facial nerve in the early diagnosis and ENoG might be more valuable than Blink reflex in clinical prognosis of the Bell paralysis.
