Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship of IL-6-634C/G gene polymorphism and cerebral infarction (CI) in Hunan Hans.Methods IL-6-634C/G polymorphism was detected by PCR-RFLP and DNA sequencing in 314 CI patients and 326 healthy controls.Results IL-6-634C/G have GG,CG and CC genotypes in Hunan Hans.There was no significant differences of genotypes and alleles frequencies between the controls and CI group (P0.05).Conclusion The Chinese Hunan Han Nationality crowd has the IL-6-634C/G gene polymorphism.There was no relationship between the IL-6-634C/G gene polymorphism and CI in Hunan Hans.
