Abstract
Based on the ecological footprint theory.Quantitative studies of per capita ecological footprint,per capita ecological capacity and resource utilization ratio of Baiyin city in lately five years are conducted in this paper.The results show: ①The per capita ecological footprint is 1.55 hm~(2),and the average rising ratio is 4.76%.The per ecological capacity is 0.55hm~(2) and doesn't change evidently.The per capita ecological deficit is 1.00 hm~(2),and the average growing ratio is 22.0%.At present,it is not a sustainable development model.②The ratio of fossil energy land and the arable land to ecological footprint is 99.97%,and the high speed development is mainly at the cost of the local natural resources consumed.The ratio of the arable land to ecological capacity is 92.38%,so the structure is single.③The ecological footprint of per ten thousand yuan GDP is 2.71 hm~(2),equals to the average level of western China,and the present resource used model of Baiyin city is high consumption.④The characteristics of ecological footprint in Baiyin city are big per capita ecological footprint,low per capita ecological capacity and high ecological deficit.
