Study on the Intervention Effect of Psychological Care to Patients' Preoperative Anxiety in Urinary Surgery

Objectives To evaluate the intervention effect of psychological care to patients' preoperative anxiety in urinary surgery.Methods We conducted a randomized control trial.396 urology patients were randomly divided into control and intervention group.Patients in control group were given routine clinical care.The intervention cases were provided with psychological care apart from routine clinical care.We compared the difference between these two groups in score of preoperative anxiety,blood pressure and heart rate.Results There were no significant differences in patients' age,education level,disease condition between these two groups(P0.05).Average anxiety score of intervention group and control group was 7.46 and 7.69 respectively one day after being hospitalized,and no significant difference were found(P0.05).Average anxiety score of these two groups 10 minutes before operative was 11.87 and 15.89,respectively,statistical difference existed(P0.001).The increase in blood pressure and heart rate of these two groups were significant different(P0.05).Conclusions Many urology patients will be anxiety before operative.Psychological interventions have obvious effects to alleviate patients' anxiety.
