Abstract

The effects of different concentration of polyethylene glycol(PEG) osmotic stress on osmolytes of peanut seedling was studied.The results showed that soluble sugar,free amino acids,proline and soluble protein content of peanut seedling increased remarkably with the increase of PEG concentration and continued to accumulate with the stress time prolonged.Malomdiadehyde(MDA) content of peanut seedling rose as PEG concentration and stress time increased as well.
