The Expression and Clinic Significance of MCM5 and Survivin in Gastric Cancer

Objective The aim of this study is to determine the pattern and frequency of Survivin expression in gastric normal mucosa and cancer.Methods The SP immunohistochemical technique was used to detect the expression of Survivin in30 cases of normal gastric tissue and 68 cases of gastric cancer.The relationship Survivin expression and clinic pathological parameters of gastric cancer were studyed.Results: Survivin existed in cytoplasm of gastric cancer mainly,also could be seen in cellular nucleus,presenting buffy or yellow brown particles.Survivin which was expressed in gastric cancer tissues had no significant correlation with gender,age,degree of histological differentiation,size of tumor,depth of infiltration and TNM Staging(P0.05),it was only related with whether there are lymph node metastasis(P0.05).Conclusion The positive expression rate of Survivin in gastric cancer is significantly higher than that in normal gastric tissue and the expression of Survivin in gastric cancer increases with the genesis of lymph node metastasis.Survivin which is expressed in gastric cancer tissues have no significant correlation with gender,age,degree of histological differentiation,size of tumor,depth of infiltration and TNM Staging.
