On equality of public services and new rural construction——Taking Fujian province as an example

Improve rural public services is the major content and the key link for the development of new rural construction.Viewed from the present situation,in Fujian province,there is a large gap between the rural and urban areas in infrastructure construction,basic education development,basic medical services,social security and residents' income,which is closely related to the inadequate financial investment,weak economic strength in counties and the township government's inferior ability to provide public services.It is argued in this paper that,in order to lessen the gap of the basic public services between rural and urban areas,it is a rational choice to establish a public service-oriented government,build up a new diversified investment system,perfect financial system in the county and the countryside,and intensify efforts of institutional reform in the countryside and the town.
