To Build a Harmonious Society and Equalization of Basic Public Services in the Urban and Rural Areas——A Case Study in Shandong Province

Now the non-equality of basic public services in the urban and rural areas of Shandong Province is prominent. There is a big difference in the investment in infrastructure,basic education,public health medical services and social security between urban and rural areas. These differences hinder the coordinated development of the urban and rural areas, endanger the stability in the rural areas and affect the construction of a harmonious society,so we must try to promote the equalization of basic public services in the urban and rural areas. According to the actual situation of Shandong Province, we should build a public service-oriented government, divide the responsibility of all levels of government in the equalization reasonably,build a new diversified investment mechanism,establish the sustainable rural financial support for basic public services mechanism,develop small towns,and gather rural people to improve the efficiency of public services.
