Significance of Detecting Serum Levels of Glycosylated Hemoglobin and Uric Acid in Type 2 Diabetic Nephropathy

Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical value of detecting the serum levels of glycosylated hemoglobin and uric acid in patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy. Methods Forty patients with diabetes nephrosis were served as research group 1,40 patients with diabetic served as research group 2,and 40 healthy individuals were selected as control group.Fasting blood glucose,HbA1c,UA,24 h UAER and Cr of the three groups were determined,and the results were compared among them. Results The levels of HbA1c and UA in research groups 1 and 2 were higher than those of control group.The levels of HbA1c and UA in research group 1 were higher than those in research group 2,and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The levels of HbA1c and UA in the renal decompensation patients of research group 1 were higher than those of patients with compensatory stage of renal function in research group 1,and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusions The extent of renal impairment is positively correlated with the levels of HbA1c and UA in patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy.Detection of HbA1c and UA has an important significance in patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy.
