Analysis of serum uric acid concentration of patients with schizophrenia

Abstract

Objective:To explore the serum uric acid concentration change of patients with schizophrenia.Methods:500 patients with schizophrenia in our hospital from September 2010 to September 2011 were collected(patient group),they all line with the diagnostic criteria of the CCMD-3;500 cases of control group were from healthy check-up workers in 2011.Determined serum uric acid concentration.Results:There was significant differences in serum uric acid concentration between the two groups(χ2=17.8,P0.01),there were statistical difference between men and women of patient group.Conclusion:Serum uric acid concentration of patients with schizophrenia are significantly higher than control group,serum uric acid concentration of men are higher than women.
