Teacher's Personal Philosophy of Teaching:Necessity and Possibility

Abstract

Teacher's personal philosophy of teaching is teacher's personal knowledge of the basic problems of teaching. The lack of personal philosophy of teaching reflects primarily on the teachers' obsession of teaching methods and the confusion of teaching ideas. Teacher's pursuit for personal philosophy of teaching can promote teacher's professional development,enhance the quality of teacher's life,and promote the curriculum reform of elementary education. Teachers should change their attitudes towards philosophy,value philosophical thinking,persistently reflect and criticize the self-pursued and external promoted teaching theories and their philosophical foundation,then gradually build personal knowledge of the basic problems of teaching.
