Abstract
In order to provide the information of optimal experimental design methods for researchers, several optimization methods—factorial design, orthogonal design, uniform design and response surface methodology, which were usually used in industrial and agricultural production and scientific research, were introduced briefly. The principle, characteristics, date processing method, application and advantages and disadvantages were expounded on respectively. Some reference is provided for scientific choice of the optimal experiment design methods. The results show that the response surface methodology is applied widely in the world.
