Abstract
Objective To study the role of Fas,bax and bcl 2 in occurrence and progression of esophageal carcioma. Methods The Fas,bax and bcl 2 protein expression were quantitantively determined by flow cytometry and celluar immunofluoresence technique in paraffin embeded tissues from 70 cases of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Results The positive expression rate of Fas protein was 60.0%(42/70),correlated with tumor grade( P 0.05) and not with tumor stage and lymph node metastasis( P 0.05 ).The expression rate of bax and bcl 2 were 55.7%(39/70) and 91.5%(65/70) respectively, not correlated with tumor grade and stage and lymph node metastasis( P 0.05).Conclusion Fas,bax and bcl 2 take part in the occurrence and progression of esophageal carcinoma.
