Abstract
Objective This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of 15 years' tuberculosis monitoring in Ningbo City. Methods Data for 15 years of monitoring were collected and arranged, and conventional monitoring data were used for analysis of detection of cases and curative effect. Results The registration rate for active pulmonary tuberculosis decreased by 33.6%, while that for smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis increased by 198.4%, and the new registration rate for active pulmonary tuberculosis and new registration rate for smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis increased by 26.0% and 133.5% respectively. The death rate of pulmonary tuberculosis decreased by 60.0%. The rate of delayed detection of cases had no significant change in the 15 years. The cure rate for newly found sputum smear positive cases decreased from 91.8% to 88.6%. For the floating population, the new registration rate for active pulmonary tuberculosis and new registration rate for smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis increased by 33.3% and 95.8% respectively. Conclusion +=The detection rate and cure rate of cases have been promoted continuously, and for the effect of infection source control, the control rate has increased from 25.5% to 49.2%. The effect of tuberculosis control should be reinforced continuously, health promotion for tuberculosis be strengthened, and knowledge for tuberculosis prevention and control be popularized. The management for tuberculosis treatment among floating population should be emphasized.
