Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effects of split-root conservation and restoration for mandibular molar crown and root. Methods 35 molar residual roots and crowns, after a complete root canal treatment and therapy, using split-root method for Conservation and Restoration. After 1~3 year follow-up, with subjective evaluation, gums bleeding indications and evaluation of the success rate of clinical results. Results The success rate is 87.9% for 35 molar residual roots and crowns, patients'gum was gradually recovered.Subjective evaluation is also satisfactory. Teeth can normal function. On the single-crown and multi-crown area, there is no significant difference. Conclusion Rational design and repair after repair maintenance, can improve the preservation rate under the residual molar crown.
