Abstract
Objective To expore the protective effects of Shenfu injection( SF) on kidney injury in severe acute pancreatitis( SAP) rats. Methods SD rats were divided randomly into sham operation group,SAP group and SF group. Severe acute pancreatitis rat model was developed in adult male rats by retrograde injection of sodium taurocholate in biliopancreatiic duct. The plasma levels of BUN,Cr and TNF-a,IL-6,LPS,ATⅡ were measured at different time points. Morphology of kidney and pancreas was observed. Results The plasma levels of BUN,Cr and TNF-a,IL-6,LPS,ATⅡ were elevated significantly after SAP induction. Compared with SAP group, the plasma levels of TNF-a,IL-6,LPS and ATⅡ were gradually decreased, the renal function were improved, histological changes of pancreas and kidney were also relieved. The change was significant after 24h. Conclusion Cytokines,LPS,and activated rennin-angiotensin system might be involved in pathogenesis of the kidney injury following SAP. Shenfu injection could modulate immune function, reduce inflammatory response, and alleviate pancreatitis and kidney injury.
