Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP)and acute myocardial infarction. Methods 46 patients who were admitted with a diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI),according to 3 months follow-up adverse cardiac events, were divided into group A (with adverse cardiac events,n=10)and group B (without adverse cardiac events,n=36).BNP on admission(BNP_1),BNP after 2 weeks (BNP_2),△BNP(△BNP=BNP_1-BNP_2),△BNP%=(BNP_1-BNP_2)/BNP_1 and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) were compared between two groups. Results Univariate analysis showed LVEF, BNP_1, BNP_2, △BNP% in two groups were different significantly (P0.05),Logistic regression analysis showed BNP_1 was independent risk factor of adverse cardiac events(OR=1.76,95%CI=1.22~1.96,P=0.00),while △BNP% was independent protection factor of adverse cardiac events(OR=0.27,95%CI=0.12~0.42,P=0.00).Conclusion Plasma BNP on admission and △BNP% were significantly associated with three-month adverse cardiac events after AMI.
