A great number of color words exist both in Chinese and western culture. Brought up in different cultures, people hold different feelings and attitudes towards colors. Therefore, during intercultural communication, in order to avoid misunderstandings, we should not only know the basic meanings of the color words, but also their different symbolic meanings in different cultures.
