Abstract
One of the most frequently anthologized stories by Faulkner,A Rose for is the remarkable story of Emily.This fiction describes a story which happened in the southern part of America where the male held the centered power.Although Emily struggled to pursue her love and rights,she couldn't get rid of the social control.At last,she has to compromise to the reality and fell into the tragedy.This paper uses Emily's story to illustrate the struggle of female to the mundane society and their persistence for dignity.
