Abstract
Objective To investigate the phenomenon of insulin resistance in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods Fasting plasma glucose(FPG),fasting serum insulin(FINS),lipid,2h plasma glucose(2hPG) and 2h serum insulin(2hINS) during oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT) were determined in 40 GDM patients and 34 control subjects. The insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) was calculated. Results ① FPG,2hPG,FINS,2hINS,triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) were significantly higher in GDM patients than in control subjects.② HOMA-IR was significantly higher in GDM patients than in control subjects. Conclusion There is obvious insulin resistance and metabolic disorder in GDM patients.
