Development of a New Cucumis melon Hybrid F1 Cultivar,Gankezhuangyuan

Gankezhuangyuan is a new hybrid F1 cultivar of Cucumis melon.It has mid-early maturity,excellent quality and high resistance to powdery mildew,resistance to downy mildew and trailing blight.It has 100 days of whole growth period and 51 days of fruit growth period from blossom to ripen.It is elliptic fruit with golden skin.The fruit shape index is 1.35.The fruit flesh is light-green colored with more juice and sweet.The fruit weight is about 2 kg.The center soluble solid content is 14%-16%,the flesh thickness is about 3.7-4 cm,firm rind is suitable for transportation.The yield is about 2300 kg/667 m2.It is suitable for cultivation in open field and protected field in Northwest China.
