Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effects of enhanced flowable restorative material on the restoration of medial caries in the children. Methods 419 deciduous teeth with medial caries were ran- domly divided into two groups,which were restored with Glass Ionomer cement( GIC) and Beautifil Flow Plus flowable restorative material( BF) respectively. All the children were followed-up for 1 years to compare the clinical effects. Results The successful ratio of GIC group was 92. 23% and that of BF group was 97. 46%. There was significant differences between GIC group and BF group by chi square test. Conclusion The en- hanced flowable restorative material is a better filling material for medial caries restoration in deciduous teeth, which imduce a low incidence of filling loss and spcondary caries.
