Effect of mengnuo combined with hydrochlorothiazide in treatment of essential hypertension

Objective:To observe the curative effect of mengnuo(fosinopril)in combination with hydrochlorothiazide on essential hypertension.Methods:75 cases of essential hypertension were randomly divided into treatment and control groups.40 patients in treatment group were treated with 10mg fosinopril and 12.5mg hydrochlorothiazide per day, and 35 patients in control group were treated with 10mg fosinopril alone per day for 8 weeks.Results:(1)After 8-week treatment,the patients' systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) were significantly improved in the two groups.But the treatment group improved significantly better than the control group,with the total effective rate 95% and 88.5% respectively.(2)There was no significant difference in fasting blood glucose(FBG), triglycerides(TG) and total cholesterol(TC) between these two groups before and after treatment.Conclusion:Fosinopril combined with hydrochlorothiazide is effective and safe in the treatment of esential hypertension.
