Abstract
Objective: To study the influence of rosiglitazone on serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) in diabetic rats and its renal protection role. Methods: Forty-five rats were randomly divided into normal control group(n=15),diabetic group(n=15) and rosiglitazone group(n=15).Diabete rat models were established, rosiglitazone group was gavaged by 5 mg·kg-1·d-1 rosiglitazone saline suspension liquid, normal control group and diabetic group were gavaged by the corresponding amount of saline irrigation. The changes of serum hs-CRP,urinary albumin(MAU),blood sugar(BG),HbAlc and BUN were detected at 4 weeks,8 weeks and 10 weeks after treatment. Results: The expression of BG,HbAlc,BUN,MAU and hs-CRP in diabetic group, rosiglitazone group at 4,8 and 12 weeks after treatment were significantly higher than those of normal control group(all P0.05);The expression of BG,HbAlc,BUN,MAU and hs-CRP in rosiglitazone group at 8 and 12 weeks after treatment were significantly lower than those of diabetic group(all P0.05);The expression of BG,HbAlc,BUN,MAU and hs-CRP in diabetic group gradually increased with time(all P0.05);The expression of BG,HbAlc,BUN,MAU and hs-CRP in rosiglitazone group gradually decreased with time(all P0.05);The expression of hs-CRP and MAU were significantly correlated(r=0.687,P0.01).Conclusion: Rosiglitazone has a protective effect on kidney of diabetic rats.It may be related to the reduction expression of serum hs-CRP levels and the inflammatory response.
