Abstract

Objective To investigate the value of multi-detector spiral CT MPR imagings in diagnosis of orbital fracture. Methods Axial imaging and multi-direction MPR imagings were performed in 68 cases with orbital fractures. Results Total 63 cases of orbital fractures were found in axial imaging, of which 39 cases shown directly and clearly. In 68 cases of coronal imaging, 66 cases were found directly and clearly. Among 43 cases of sagittal imaging, there were 27 cases of fractures showed directly and clearly. The fractures of intra and lateral orbital wall were mainly found in axial imaging, and fractures of superior and inferior wall were mainly found in sagittal imaging. Conclusion Spiral CT MPR imaging is a valuable method in showing traumatic orbital fractures.
