The suspension of frontalis muscle flap to treatment severe blepharoptosis

Objective To explore a methods of treating severe blepharoptosis.Methods A frontalis muscle flap with suitable width and length was drawn down and rooted on top of tarsus thtough a space between orbicular muscle of eye and orbital septum fasciae.97 severe blepharoptosis cases were cured.Ressults 126eyes(97cases) were followed 6 months to 9 years after the operation,the all closed naturally with the fluent form and had no relapse.Conclusion The suspension of fyontalis muscle flap is a credible and effective treatment for severe blepharoptosis.
