Severe blepharoptosis by width frontalis muscle flap suspension surgery

Abstract
Objective To discuss the width frontalis muscle flap suspension in treatment of severe blepharoptosis effect.Methods 52 eyes of 36 patients with severe congenital blepharoptosis were treated by width frontalis muscle flap suspension surgery.Complications and therapy effect at operation and postoperation were observed.Results After 3months to 2 years,all patients have got a satisfying effect as a result of nature contour,free coroclisis and no complication and palindromia.Conclusion The width frontalis muscle flap suspension is an effective method for correcting the severe blepharoptosis with sufficient blood supply and firm suspension.
