Abstract
Treatment A and B were taken out to improve the former diluents of straw frozen semen on Boer goat at Frozen Semen Station of Dali Prefecture,Yunnan. The results showed that the performances of Treatment A on sperm progressive motility after thawing, acrosome integrity after thawing, and effective spermatozoa count after thawing were higher than those of Treatment B and the former diluents, respectively (P0.01).The performances of frozen semen after thawing could be improved after adding egg yolk to the diluents,of which the progressive motility after thawing, acrosome integrity after thawing, and effective spermatozoa count after thawing increased(P0.05).The motility of frozen semen after thawing could be improved after adding vitamin C to the diluents(P0.05),and it was optimal that vitamin B12 were used to diluents prior to Vitamin C and E(P0.05).Glycol was the substitution of glycerol as better cryoprotective preservation, which improved the sperm resuscitation rate after thawing and cryoprotective effects in the process of straw frozen semen productions(P0.05).Of the ten gradient glycerol densities(1~7%),the optimal glycerol concentrations were 3%and 4.5%,of which the progressive motility of frozen semen after thawing, acrosome integrity after thawing, total sperm survival time after thawing, effective spermatozoa count were generally first-grade.Although the corresponding semen qualities at the level of 7%glycerol were perfect close to those of 3%and 4.5%,herein it was not recommended to use in straw frozen semen due to its higher glycerol concentration.
