Abstract
Objective To evaluate the treatment effect of different methods on class Ⅲ malocclusion. Methods 21 class Ⅲ patients aged from 8 to 27 were chosen,including 3 cases of alternative dentition and 18 permanent dentition,10 males and 11 females.Treatment methods included 2×4 technique,protraction facemask,MEAW and orthognathic surgery were used according to the mechanics of different cases.Treatment time varied from 5 to 32 months. Results All of the 21 patients obtained classⅠmolar relationship and their profile improved. Conclusion To make a good individual treatment plan according to the mechanic of class Ⅲ malocclusion is very important.
