Treatment Strategy for Patient with Class III Malocclusion

Objective To evaluate the treatment effect of different methods on class Ⅲ malocclusion.Methods 19 class Ⅲ patients aged from 8 to 29 were chosen,including 3 cases of alternative dentition and 16 permanent dentition,9 males and 10 females.Treatment methods included 2 ×4technique,protraction facemask,MEAW and orthognathic surgery were used according to the mechanics of different cases.Treatment time varied from 6 to 32 months.Results All of the 19 patients obtained class Ⅰmolar relationship and their profile improved.Conclusion To make a good individual treatment plan according to the methanic of class Ⅲ malocclusion is very important.
