Abstract

In this study,the teeth size and the Pont index of patients with Class Ⅱ malocclusion were analyzed to offer the basis for diagnosis and treatment.Methods The samples were consisted of 142 cases of Class Ⅱ malocclusion and 104 cases of normal occlusion.Results The teeth of Class Ⅱ malocclusion were wider than normal.The Pond′s indices of these patients were more than the indices of normal people.It was suggested that most of Class Ⅱ malocclusion had maxillary constriction.Conclusion It can be used as a norm for diagnosis and treatment of Class Ⅱ malocclusion.
