The New Policy of the Late Qing Dynasty and Modern Chinese Exposition Business

Abstract

Because of the Qing Empire implementing the new policy, the Business Department promulgated going abroad Fairs passage pamphlets in 1905 to encourage businessmen traveling abroad and participating in Exposition, and persuade the provinces to open display of merchandise in China. It promoted Chinese participating in the World Exposition and led to domestic Expo’s holding.
