Study of fluid-dynamic in tundish for thin slab caster of Tangshan Steel

Abstract

This paper introduces the method of the tundish flow study, and analyzes the fluid dynamic in the tundish. The tundish for the thin slab caster of Tangshan Iron and Steel Co. is studied on the basis of the water model. The tundish designed by DANIELI is suitable for the process of the thin slab caster according to the production and the comparison of the different models of the tundish.
