The Study of Aspirate System of Jiashan Dialect

Abstract

Jiashan county is located in the northeast of Zhejiang Province, its dialect belongs to Wu dialect of Suhujia branch. The speech sound is more close to Shanghai dialect but diffes from the Wu dialect of Zhejiang southern part. It has 28 initials, 44 finals and 7 tones, and its total syllables are more than nine hundreds. The change of tones of two words group has 42 patterns, and the inside aspirate is identity. But because of the difference of zone and age, it still has some different perceivings to the natives.
