Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the infection patterns of urogenital Mycoplasma and to analyze the drug resistance of the Mycoplasma in Shenzhen.METHODS The specimens were collected from 10226 clinic patients, and drug sensitivity test were performed with commercial kit.All the results were statistically analyzed.RESULTS The positive rate of Mycoplasma in this study was 45.1%,and the Mycoplasma infection rate in females was significantly higher than that in males(62.1% vs 30.3%).In addition, the positive rate of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) infection was significantly higher than that of Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) infection and Uu+Mh mixed infection.According to the drug resistance results, the sensitivity rates of Uu,Mh and Uu+Mh to josamycin(JOS),doxycycline(DOT),and tetracycline(TET) were all over 80.2%.There were quite a few differences between the drug resistance of Uu,Mh and Uu+Mh.Uu had high drug sensitivity to azithromycin(AZI),erythromycin(ERY),roxithromycin(ROX) and clarithromycin(CLA),but Mh and Uu+Mh had poor sensitivity to those four antibiotics.CONCLUSION The urogenital tract infection of Mycoplasma is mainly caused by Uu.Females are infected more frequently than males. The isolates of Mh and Uu+Mh always showed multiple drug resistance to antibiotics. It is important to test the resistance of Mycoplasma to guide appropriate selection of antibiotics for clinical doctors. It will be quite effective to improve the cure rate and reduce the emergence of resistant isolates.
