Abstract

Objective To analyze the influencing factors of public health emergency related knowledge and skills among residents in Chaoyang District,Beijing,and provide evidence for making effective strategies and intervention measures.Methods Using multi-stage systematic sampling,2000 residents over 18 years old were investigated with the questionnaire including public health emergency related knowledge and skills,and the scores were analyzed with multiple linear regression. Results 82.7% of respondents had experiences about public health emergency,and the awareness rates of knowledge and skills about typhoid fever and radioactive accidents were 19.9% and 22.8%,respectively.Multiple linear regression results showed that the scores of public health emergency related knowledge and skills among urban residents were higher than that of rural residents;the younger residents and the residents with lower education level got lower scores.Conclusion The level of public health emergency related knowledge and skills should be improved among residents in Chaoyang District,Beijing.Health education in typhoid fever and radioactive accidents should be strengthened,and publicity and education work of disaster prevention and mitigation should be carried out among rural areas,young people,and lower educational residents.
