Bo's Abdominal Acupuncture in the Treatment of Depression after Stroke

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Bo's Abdominal Acupuncture on post stroke depression.Methods:65 cases of post stroke depression patients were divided into 2 groups.33 patients in the treatment group received the treatment of Bo's Abdominal Acupuncture and 32 cases in the control group received the treatment of routine acupuncture.Both the treatment continued for 4 weeks and then the scores of HAMD and NSD and the clinical effects of depression and stroke were assessed,and the untoward side effects and the accidents were recorded.The data were processed by statistics.Results:After the treatment the scores of both HAMD and NSD were reduced in 2 groups.The clinical effects of depression and stroke in 2 groups had not any difference(P0.05).But the untoward side effects and the accidents were fewer in the treatment group than that in control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Bo's Abdominal Acupuncture has a good effect on post stroke depression which has a similar curative effect and fewer untoward side effects and the accidents compared with that of the routine acupuncture.
