Abstract
Ultra high molecular weight polyacrylamide(HPAM)was synthesized via aqueous dispersion poly- merization by introducing the compound redox system to initiate AM solution homogeneous polymerization. The time-kinetic curves of the aqueous dispersion polymerization was comprehensively analyzed. The results show that the relatively high molecular weight polyacrylamide can be synthesized, when the concentration of AM is 31%,the concentration of bifunctional initiator is 10mg/L,the polymerization temperature is 6℃,the dosage of azo com- pounds is 25mg/L.
