Abstract

Super high molecular weight polyacrylamide was prepared from acrylamide(AM) and acrylic acid(AA) monomer by aqueous solution polymerization in presence of complex initiating system.The effects of several factors involving pH value of polymerization system,catalyst,chain transfer agent and the influence of redox initiator on molecular weight of polyacrylamide were investigated.And on basis of the orthogonal experiment,optimal reaction process parameters were determined.When the pH value is 6.8,the dosage of catalyst is 0.05%,chain transfer agent is 0.01%,the dosage of initiator is 0.4%,the molecular weight of polymer products obtained under such conditions as high as 89,000,000,the product solubility is good,20 min can be completely dissolved.
