Abstract

[Objective]To explore the effect of Zhijuzi on liver pathology of high-fat diet-induced non-alcoholic fatty liver.[Methods]Fifty-four male SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups, the blank control group administered normal diet plus distilled water once a day,and the remaining groups were fed with high fat diet,in which the model group administered distilled water,Essentiale and low doses of Zhijuzi. The corresponding group of drugs and doses administered, once a day were observed for 90 days, respectively. The group's index of the liver and liver histological changes were observed.[Results]The liver index of rats was significantly higher than blank group(P0.01),a wide range of fatty change in liver tissue showed moderate to severe inflammation.Compared with model group, the intervention group of high dose of zhijuzi could significantly reduce the rat liver index, and improve the degree of liver inflammation;Group Essentiale had no significant changes in histology compared with the model group.[Conclusion]The early enough quantities to interfere with Zhijuzi is effective on rats with non-alcoholic fatty liver induced by high fat die.
