Observation of diabetic gastroparesis treated by Jianpi Nawei decoction

Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of diabetic gastroparesis treated by Jianpi Nawei decoction. Methods 160 cases with diabetic gastroparesis were randomly divided into control and treatment groups. Patients in control group (n=80) were treated by Motilium. Patients in treatment group (n=80) were treated by Jianpi Nawei decoction. Curative effect index and gastric emptying time were observed for evaluating effect. Reexamination was carried on in 6 months after treatment. Results The total effective rate in treatment group and control group were 91.2% and 87.5%, seperatively. There was no difference between both groups (P0.05). Results of reexamination showed that recurrent rate in treatment group (8.7%) was markedly lower than that in control group (61.6%, P0.01). There was difference between symptoms score before and after treatment in both groups (P0.05). There was no difference between symptoms score control group and treatment group after treatment (P0.05). Conclusion Jianpi Nawei decoction could treat diabetic gastroparesis and improve gastric emptying time, its effect was durable.
