ADR Reports in Our Hospital:Analysis of 354 Cases

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the characteristics and the general pattern of adverse drug reactions(ADRs) occurred in our hospital in order to promote clinical rational use of drugs.METHODS: A total of 354 ADR cases reported in our hospital were analyzed statistically in respect of patients' age and sex,drug categories,route of administration,organs or systems involved and clinical manifestations etc.RESULTS: Of the 354 ADR cases,the ADRs were mainly associated with intravenous administration,older age,use of anti-infective drugs and the quality of traditional Chinese medicinal injections.Intravenous drip infusion was more likely to induce ADRs than the other routes of administration.The ADRs were mainly manifested as lesions of skin and its appendages.CONCLUSION: It is advisable to strength our consciousness on ADR monitoring and improve the related ADR reporting system to promote clinical rational use of drugs.
